Abstract:

In the 21st century, Marx remains an unknown author, not only because of the limited access to his work that has not been published entirely even in the German language —this being an ongoing work within the Marx-Engels Gesamtausgabe Project, or because of flawed translations, but fundamentally because the 20th-century Marxism did a biased reading, strongly influenced by Stalin’s Marxism-Leninism. This hindered the discovery of critical thinking central theses that are still valid today, and opens a door not only to economic criticism, but also to a critical look of modernity as a civilizing project.

Keywords: living work, Marxism, theology, dialectics.
