Abstract:

We are facing modern illnesses requiring modern treatments and medicines. Our national healthcare system is inoperative and traditional medicines fight not to disappear. In the academic context, a “dialogue of learnings” is encouraged, but there is no understanding about the principle of complementarity. Then, how to build a world with Others if we are failing to start a genuine dialogue with them? The author ponders upon these issues in the contexto of bio-pedagogy and anthropology, and introduces the concept of “biopedagogical dialogue”, which he defines as a means propitiating learnings in the relationships with oneself, with Others and with the environment.

Keywords: Anthropology, medicine, principle of complementarity, bio-pedagogy, biopedagogical dialogue.
