Abstract:
Modern condition and scientific rationality are increasingly losing their privileged locus when social processes are challenged due to the continuing deterioration of the natural environment. It is in this belt that since the mid-twentieth century many efforts have been made toward making new readings of social processes. In this direction, we present here a reflective effort —mainly theoretical—, which, from Max Weber’s rationalisms, seeks to demonstrate its relationship to Enrique Leff´s epistemological notes, and the postulation of his concept of environmental rationality as an emerging alternative analytics that inserted in the modern scientific paradigm, can contribute to a new human-world relationship.
Keywords: environmental rationality; Enrique Leff; social and environmental action.
