Abstract:

This paper reflects upon how trans people in the Colombian Caribbean build their bodies and identities on the basis of an ongoing process of subjectivation. The trans body is produced in power settings, but it is not defined by it, which enables a real fostering of techniques and technologies that are made up in a range of diversities in precarious contexts; bodies unintelligible by a binary sex-gender system, which often results in these bodies being depicted as wretched bodies, to be repudiated, instrumentalized or assaulted.

Keywords: trans bodies/identities, subjectivization processes, reappropiation and resistance, violations and transgressions on Rights.
